LVCC supports the enjoyment, modification and preservation of the Chevrolet Camaro.

Club President Karl Scheffy purchased a 1967 RS Convertible in the late '80's, and found that going to Cruise Nights and local shows was not as much fun as expected, because the Camaro owners in attendance did not know each other. Even a trip to the Camaro Nationals (held in the Pocono's at that time) was anticlimactic; as Karl and Charlie Daniels (also an original member), had no one to converse and share their excitement with.
Thus, the idea was formed to start a local Camaro Club. Karl talked to many of the Camaro owners at the cruises, but everyone said it was tried before, but never worked out. Not accepting their experiences of the past, he put an ad in the Morning Call classifieds; announcing the next scheduled meeting of the Lehigh Valley Camaro Club...as if it was an ongoing established club. In October of 1989, over twenty people showed up for the meeting, and the club was born.
The club currently meets about every other month, based on members needs and activities. Frequent outings include local car shows, National Camaro events, cruises, tours, foliage runs, and holiday parties and picnics. It is couples and family orientated - no one should ever feel out of place or unwelcome, even if you don't own a Camaro.
Three of the main events on the calendar, are Das Awkscht Fescht, the Slatingtion Lions Car Show, and the Camaro Nationals. Das Awkscht Fescht is a large, three day antique car show held in Macungie, PA. The LVCC parks the Chevrolet Class on Sunday of the show, and follows that with a picnic at Karl's house - just a few doors away. The Slatington Lions Car show is held at the Slatington Airport, followed by a get together at another member's home, Robert Kuntz. The Camaro Nationals are held in Frederick Maryland, and many LVCC members caravan to the two day event.
The club is open to all who enjoy the styling, fun, and friendship related to the Chevrolet F-Body. Ownership of a Camaro is not required to be a member of the club.

Mission Statement

The Lehigh Valley Camaro Club Inc, was established to provide fellowship among members, and to provide information, ID and Tech Help to it's members. We strive to preserve, restore, and maintain the Camaro and it's history. This includes Camaro's of all styles: stock, restored, original, modified, and from all years, 1967 to present.

Membership includes an entire family or household. Ownership of a Camaro is not a requirement of membership. For the purpose of attendance and election of officers, each family or household counts as a single vote. Officers are nominated in September and October, and elections are held at the November Meeting or at the December meeting if a November meeting is not held.

By-Laws were adopted October 16, 1990, and amended February 23, 1992, and again on April 25, 1999. The Lehigh Valley Camaro Club is Incorporated in the state of Pennsylvania.
